Love This Sawmill. Love this sawmill, smooth operation, even cuts, easy to dial in and was easy to put together. Cut a few small logs - one oak and one walnut for practice before cutting into a 36 inch oak. I highly recommend this sawmill.
Great Value for Money. Been looking at the name brand mills for about a year- hard time spending the money. I am a contractor that ended up with a pile of logs. I decided that to invest 6k was a lot easier to deal with if I never went back to milling after this pile.
Perfect for Homestead Projects. My family and I have been enjoying having this mill to supply materials to our homestead projects. I researched the options and I'm happy with everything this saw offers. I enjoy how simple it is for the capacity it has. On day one after assembly we were cutting boards and beams from ash and oak trees.
Best Choice After 6 Months Research. In shopping for a mill for the past 6 months, I knew I wanted a strong engine and a large mill, as I have about 36 acres of mostly old-growth white oak. After Hurricane Helene, we lost dozens, including some as large as 37 inches across. I compared Norwood, Woodland Mills, Woodmizer, and a few other brands then found MechMAXX.
Amazed at Quality and Ease of Assembly. I was amazed at the quality of the 36 mechmaxx. Easy to put together. Sturdy built. Shipping on time to my doorstep. Could not ask for more from customer service and support.
Amazing Accuracy and Quality. It cuts with amazing accuracy. Every board comes off perfectly square and smooth. It's easy to calibrate, and adjustments are quick. Even tough hardwoods like oak and hickory are no problem. This sawmill delivers consistent, reliable results every time.

Impressed with Manufacturing Quality. After receiving the SM36HMAX and assembling it I was very impressed with the manufacturing quality and fit of all of the parts. The steel thickness is comparable to other more expensive brands. The instructions are lacking but it went together well with not one single bolt or part missing or leftover.

Handles All Woods Smoothly. I've milled oak, walnut, and pine—no problem at all. Clean and smooth.
Fantastic Machine at Great Price. The MechMaxx SM-36MAX Sawmill is a fantastic machine. The set up and assemble took longer than expected, and there is a learning curve, however, it cuts beautifully. At a price point that is 3K to 6K less than comparable manual mills from other brands, the mill is a quality machine that is easy to operate.
Fuel Efficient Engine. I was surprised by how fuel-efficient it is for 25HP.
Much Faster Than Chainsaw Mill. Overall great experience with this mill so far. Coming from a chainsaw mill, I don't know why the marketing copy says it's twice as fast; it is much much faster! A conservative estimate for me is probably 10x more productivity, and far less waste.
